Semi-experienced forklift training in Birmingham
£225

Formal training for operators who already drive
Semi-experienced forklift training in Birmingham is for people who already operate a truck on site but have no formal accredited certificate. It is shorter than a full novice week because you already have seat time — and it is not a refresher, which requires previous certification.
We cover counterbalance, reach truck and Flexi/Bendi depending on the machine you use. Duration is 19.5 hours for up to three delegates, typically over three days, aligned with HSE ACOP L117.
The course combines classroom theory, written tests and practical assessment. Successful delegates are qualified to operate (for example counterbalance up to 5000 kg with authorisation) anywhere in the UK, then complete familiarisation on the employer’s trucks.
If you have never driven a forklift, novice training is the correct route. You do not need a car licence for private-yard work — see driving licence rules.
The skilled two or three day course is £225. Delivered at Unit 8, Paper Mill Road, Birmingham, or on-site nationwide. Contact us to confirm semi-experienced versus novice versus conversion.
