Forklift conversion course in Birmingham
£200

Convert from counterbalance to reach, Bendi or VNA
A forklift conversion course in Birmingham is for operators who already hold an accredited certificate on one category and need another. The usual path is counterbalance → reach truck, then Bendi or VNA if the warehouse uses narrow aisles. It is not a first licence and it is not a same-truck refresher.
Typical conversions we deliver:
- Counterbalance to reach truck (racking and higher lift work)
- Reach or counterbalance to Bendi / Pivot Steer
- Reach or counterbalance to VNA
- Capacity upgrades such as B1 counterbalance (up to 5 tonnes) to B2 (5–15 tonnes)
You need evidence of previous formal training. If you have never been certified, book novice forklift training or semi-experienced training instead.
How conversion is delivered
Our counterbalance-to-other-category pathway provides a minimum of 13 hours for up to three delegates — usually two days of classroom theory, practical instruction and assessment. You still cover pre-use inspection, stability and the operators’ safety code, focused on the new truck’s geometry rather than repeating a full novice week.
Training is at Unit 8, Paper Mill Road, Birmingham, or on-site on the machine you will actually use. On-site conversion is often better for reach and VNA because aisle widths and guidance systems are unique to the building.
The conversion course is £200. Contact us with your current certificate and the truck on site. We will confirm conversion versus refresher versus novice before you attend.
